A Camp Out at Quartzite

Bev and I went to the Almost Yumans Monthly Camp Out At Quartzite Arizona. For those who don’t know, The Almost Yumans Club is a chapter of Good Sams. It is one of the Gathered Around the CampfireGood Sam Chapters here in Yuma Arizona for RVer’s.  Bev and I joined Last Year and have really enjoyed the club and all of the Members. It is a real fun group of people. We Dry Camped just off off La Posa Road for free.   We arrived at the site of the Camp Out a day early along with a couple of other Members. We set up our 5th wheel and had dinner. It was a little chilly during the nights and early morning hours. On Monday

the rest of the members who were coming, started arriving. We ended up with 12 Member RV’s and a guest RV along with a member who came by pickup for the meeting only. On Tuesday Morning we had a Eggs in a Sack Breakfast and coffee and Muffins. It was good. at 9:30 we had our Meeting. Tuesday and Wednesday Nights We built a Bonfire and sat around chewing the fat. During the day, Several Members went into Quartzite about 7 miles away to see the RV show and buy thigs at a discount at some of the vendors.

We had a good time at the Camp Out and made a couple of trips into Quartzite to take in the Big RV show and all of the Vendors Hawking their wares. I bought some Led Lights

(light Emitting Diodes) for those who don’t know what a LED is. I bought the LED Lights to replace the incadesent Light bulbs in the fith wheel. They use very little amperage and have very low drain on your RV Batteries. They do not heat up. Expensive but worth the cost in my Humble Opinion. All in All it was a great time for everyone.
